JOHN PATRICK O'KEEFE went from pots and pans to drums to piano to synthesizers to keyboards, samplers and sequencers to guitars to bass and even to a vibraphone! John has been playing and singing since he was four years old. Even though he is a accomplished musician, John's strength is in his voice. Having a four octave range, he has been able to create and achieve many musical landscapes which capture the heart and soul.
JPO has played, worked and recorded with such artists/personalities as Rosie Greer, Caleb Quay, Phil Keaggy, Lenny LeBlanc, Joey Holder, Will McFarlane, as well as many others throughout his career. He has also worked extensively with DANCERS OVER 40 members in NYC which include members of the original cast of WEST SIDE STORY like Carol Lawrence, George Marcy, Jaime Sanchez and Chita Rivera.
"Johnny O" has also recorded a plethora of studio albums including two of his own Christmas CD's as well as two albums for Fisher-Price which earned him two gold records. He has performed countless video and arcade game themes/soundtracks for Innovative Concepts in Entertainment and was the audio designer for The PAX Network's BASEBALL DREAMS which premiered May 1996. John was also audio designer for the children's animation entitled THE RAINBOW CUBS. He also has countless "jingles" accredited to his repertoire. which include The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Blue Cross Blue Shield, NYS Work To School Program and Myrtle Beach Direct Air to name a few.
John's unique LIVE performances are noteworthy. A recording studio owner, John has performed all of his background tracks himself with full instrumentation and backing vocals. When John performs as a solo act, he accompanies these background tracks with a keyboard while singing the lead vocal.
If you prefer to have a full band - the dynamic changes quite a bit with endless improvisational right and left turns to the music you already know. John can accommodate any environment musically from background music to featured artist.
